Rita invited me to train stress management to her self-defense students.
I knew she had cancer but I didn’t know she was dying. Rita still found the energy to send me positive feedback. This card was my last memory of Rita.

2003 9th Annual Big Dog Parade registration had a photo of Chris the year before. Chris was a key player in the Men’s Program at UCSB. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2003.
He loved his dog.
